Art is not my Hobby
I require it to breathe
It bores deep into my soul
And finds me much relieve
Art is not my Hobby
I need it to unravel
All the thoughts in my head
And to the body it will travel
Art is not my Hobby
It helps me at times when I don’t speak
To communicate in a different language
And strengthens me when I am weak
Art is not my Hobby
I do not paint and draw when I am happy
In the depths of pain and despair
That is when it helps me when feeling crappy
Art is not my Hobby
It is a calling to my core
It is the furthest thing from a bore
It heals my wounds when feeling sore
